She is a two year old, 55 pound female who is kind, friendly, affectionate, enjoys playing with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to most family makeups. She knows a series of commands such as "sit, down, stay, leave it, place and come." Loose leash walking is also a skill she now possesses. Brandy has gone from being a "throw away" to a lovely and fun companion pup! If you're looking for a walking partner, couch companion or just a simple best friend, Brandy could very well be what you're looking for! Blue Ridge Animal Rescue & Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
All prospective animals ready for adoption begin with an application filled out by a prospective adopter. Taking into account the animal's specific needs, applications are taken in the order they are received to match appropriate families with the needs of that specific animal. Once an approval is made and the potential adopter contacted, a meet and greet with the entire family and, if possible, includes the adopters current animals as well. If the meet and greet goes well the animal may go home with that potential adopter.
