Brandenburg's Story
Brandenburg had a rough start in life. He came into rescue via a hoarding case in AL. Having to compete for food and resources with 40 other dogs, he, understandably, came into rescue looking a little rough. With some TLC and good food, he is on the mend! He's estimated to be about two years old and weighs a whopping ten pounds- he may have some pounds to gain but will likely be between 15-20 lbs when he fills out. We are not sure what his breed is- maybe some Chinese Crested, maybe some chihuahua- we hope his adopters do DNA and share with us! Brandenburg is here in Maine, in foster, and his foster says: "Brandenburg is slow to warm up, but once he does he may never leave your side, unless you're throwing a toy. Fortunately he wants the fun to continue and returns it! He is house trained, and will use pee pads if inside. He would love to keep the snuggles going and be a bedtime snuggle-buddy- he's definitely over the idea of crating. He is learning the leash and walks very well. As it is new to him, he is sometimes surprised by it and occasionally resistant. If you want a playful, smart, energetic addition to your home, Brandenburg may be it. He hasn't been exposed to children or cats directly, but he has happily watched quite a few little league games from the front steps!" Brandenburg is available for meet and greets with approved adopters.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Brandenburg or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website.
