BRADY's Story

• Working dog brain and the most handsome boy! • Would thrive in an active environment • Wants to be loved! Brady is a two-year-old handsome boy with a working dog brain, soulful eyes, and a whole lot of heart waiting to be unlocked by the right person. He comes with a little stranger danger and anxiety — he's a dog who takes his time, reads the room, and decides on his own terms when he's ready to let you in. But when he does? The staff here will tell you: underneath that cautious exterior is one of the sweetest, most gentle boys around. He already has a fan club among the people who know him best, and it keeps growing. Brady is highly trainable and eager to please. He picks things up quickly and thrives with consistency, patience, and daily training that gives his busy mind something to chew on. Open space, puzzle toys, and ideally a job to do would make a world of difference for him — he was built to work and built to bond. He's best suited for an experienced dog owner who understands that the dogs who ask the most of you tend to give back the most too. Brady is one of those dogs. He just needs the right person to believe in him. If you're patient, active, and ready for a loyal companion who will grow into something truly special — Brady is waiting. Ready to meet this sweet guy? He’s waiting to win your heart!

Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
We ask that everyone in the household meet the potential new furry family member. Come look through the profiles of our residents available at our front counter, and walk a dog or play with a cat. We are always happy to answer questions about a pet and help you decide whether he will be a good fit. If you rent, you will need to supply a copy of your lease stating you are allowed to have pets. If you own, you will need to supply proof of home ownership.   Each animal leaves with its first set of shots, dewormer and flea treatment. All animals are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to going home. All dog adopters receive a $200 credit toward canine training. You will also receive a health exam certificate that entitles you to a free "healthy pet" checkup at a local veterinarian clinic.  FAAS located at the North end of Grand St at 1590 Fortmann Way. Adoption hours are noon-4PM Tuesday through Sunday. (We are closed Mondays.)
