Hi, I'm Boyd.<br/>Back in June, I was found in a bad animal welfare situation with 135 other dogs. Thirteen of us made our way to Big Lake Humane Society as part of a nationwide rescue effort led by Animal Rescue Corps. Due to the conditions we previously face, most of us do not know what it's like to be a companion dog. Now that we are safe and carefully looked after by loving people with lots of patience, we are slowly learning to relax, be less fearful and figure out the basics, like going outside, and humans have delicious snacks.<br/><br/>I am slowly making progress, but still having difficulty with being able to have a harness and leash on. That means I have to go into a home that has a secure, fenced yard. I really would benefit from having a canine friend or two, to show me the ropes and help me build my confidence. I put on a big show like nothing scares me, but that's only when I have other dogs around, I'm really timid and unsure without them.<br/><br/>Many of the dogs I came with have made their way into homes, and are becoming great little Furiends.
