Bowser: The Gentle Giant Who Thinks He’s a Puppy Dad 🐾<br/><br/>Some dogs chase tennis balls.<br/>Bowser prefers more sophisticated hobbies… like relaxing in his favorite chair, supervising evening playtime, and showing off his surprisingly impressive hula hoop skills.<br/><br/>Bowser was heartbreakingly dumped at a truck stop with his sister, but despite whatever he experienced before rescue, he remains incredibly loving with people.<br/><br/>Right now Bowser is on the “all-you-can-eat Foster Mama grocery plan.” When he arrived, he weighed around 60 pounds, but he should probably be closer to 90 pounds once he fills out. Foster Mama is happily working on fattening him up with lots of groceries and TLC.<br/><br/>Even a little underweight, Bowser is already a true gentle giant.<br/><br/>Bowser’s Personality<br/><br/>Bowser is easygoing and enjoys evening playtime with the other dogs, followed by relaxing nearby like the polite gentleman he is. While he isn’t much interested in chasing balls, he absolutely loves the hula hoop and hanging out with his dog friends.<br/><br/>He’s also surprisingly wonderful with puppies. In fact, Bowser currently lives with Frenchie puppies and seems convinced he’s their dad. We suspect he may have witnessed or experienced some rough treatment before rescue.<br/><br/>Because of that:<br/><br/>Raised voices make him nervous<br/>Weed eaters and lawnmowers are not his favorite<br/>He thrives in a calm, patient home<br/><br/>Despite this sensitivity, Bowser still loves humans and seeks out affection.<br/><br/>Training<br/><br/>Bowser does great overall but needs a little leash work because he can pull when excited on walks.<br/><br/>Compatibility<br/>Dogs: Fantastic with dogs of all sizes<br/>Puppies: Excellent (self-appointed puppy dad)<br/>Cats: Unknown<br/>Humans: Loving and affectionate<br/><br/>Bowser is the kind of dog who quietly settles into your life and becomes your loyal shadow.
