He has some quirks that will not make him a good fit for a first-time dog owner. He is not completely housebroken, so his next owner should be prepared to work with him on that. He is also not leash-trained and is used to spending time in the yard rather than going for walks. It is important that his adopter take him to a basic obedience class, as he is a big dog and needs to learn basic commands and build his confidence. All adoption meetings are by appointment.<br/><br/>Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care.<br/><br/>With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
