Bowie's Story
Meet Bowie, a sweet little guy who is full of personality. Although his intake paperwork lists him as a poodle, his foster parents (and everyone who’s met him) agree he’s most likely a terrier mix.
This confident 1-year-old lad weighs about 17 lbs - the perfect size for laps, adventures, and everything in between.
Bowie came from a puppy mill where he wasn’t using his back right leg. Our vets discovered a degenerative right hip, so he had corrective surgery on 2/26. The procedure went well, and even though Bowie wasn’t the easiest physical therapy patient, he’s now fully healed and using his leg without pain.
Bowie is friendly and loves people of all ages. He gets along well with other dogs in his foster home, enjoying tug, wrestling, and playtime. His foster mom describes him as an easy dog — he’s house & crate trained and absolutely loves attention.
Bowie would thrive in many types of homes. He’s social, affectionate, and adaptable — a great fit for families, singles, or anyone looking for a small dog with a big heart.
If you’re looking for a happy, loving companion, Bowie may be your perfect match.
