Birthday: September 19, 2025<br/>Boots was born under a deck on a Central Texas ranch after his mama wandered onto the property looking for a safe place to have her puppies. His mom is on site and is a sweet mama. He’s grown up alongside his siblings at a horse farm, learning the world at his own thoughtful pace.<br/><br/>Boots tends to hang back more than run wild with the pack, preferring to slowly sniff and explore rather than do endless laps around the property. He’s more independent and observant, taking everything in before jumping in, and that calm approach gives him a quietly confident personality.<br/><br/>He enjoys playing with toys and engaging when it counts, just without the nonstop chaos. <br/><br/>He currently follows riders down the trails like he’s on payroll… then when he’s clocked enough steps, he heads back to the porch and takes his well-earned break like a responsible citizen.<br/><br/>He is:<br/>Friendly with people<br/>Great with kids<br/>Potty trained<br/>Crate trained<br/>Not clingy. WorkDog Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
We have an application that adopters will complete, then app processors thoroughly go through the app. Veterinarians are contacted to make sure all animals in the homes are spayed/neutered, UTD and on preventatives. We require pictures and videos of the home or a video call if a home visit cannot be done. We make sure there's no criminal history and that all adopters have a person that will take their dog in case of emergency
