Boone's Story

Meet Boone! 🎶🐾

This handsome 3-year-old blue merle boy is ready to join the ARMA family through our Foster-to-Adopt program after a change in his family’s circumstances. Just under 60 pounds (tail included!), Boone is equal parts charm, brains, and adventure buddy — a little Benson Boone meets Daniel Boone.

Boone is wonderful with people, kids, and babies, and has shown no signs of aggression. He loves attention and is always happy to roll over for belly rubs. He’s also very dog friendly, enjoys the dog park, and does well meeting new dogs and strangers.

Boone is incredibly smart and eager to learn. He responds great to training, is highly food motivated, and has excellent recall — even when squirrels try to steal the spotlight.

He is crate trained and knows the command “go into the house” for bedtime. He settles quietly at night and is an easy, enjoyable companion to have around.

Boone is not yet neutered and will need to be neutered as part of his adoption journey.

Boone is ready to find his forever family — maybe the trail he’s been blazing leads straight to you.

Boone is currently located in Winchester; VA and he is a candidate for foster to adopt!

If you're an approved ARMA adopter, please reach out to the volunteer with whom you've been working.
