Hi my name is Boo Boo! I am an old man that doesn’t want much other than a warm place to lay, and some food. Okay maybe I want love too. I sleep well in my crate at night, actually I have to be woken up because I LOVE sleep. I will tell you when I expect food and when I want to go outside . Don’t leave me out there though , I get cold. My hair is growing back from a skin issue when I was found. I’m not contagious or anything crazy. I just get medicated baths for now. I like to lay around and cuddle in a blanket. I don’t like small kids around me or other dogs in my face. I’m fine with them but I’m old and want to be left alone to rest really. I travel well in a car. My left back leg gives me some problems but I can walk and get in and outside. I can’t wait for you to come visit me.

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, check, and credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards.

Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.

We typically have adoption events on Wednesdays 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm, and Saturdays noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.

Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
