Bonnie Sue's Story

Bonnie Sue is about 2 years old, 20 pounds, and the type of dog who decides very quickly that you are now her person.

She came to us after being left at a local shelter by her previous owner who could not properly care for her. When she arrived, her skin was in very rough shape from chronic untreated fleas, and she was uncomfortable and clearly not feeling her best. The shelter reached out to us to pick her up and get her the care she needed, and that's exactly what we did!

Since coming here, she has made a huge turnaround. Her skin has healed, the irritation is gone, and her coat is starting to grow back in soft and full again. She still has a little way to go, but she already feels like a completely different dog than when she arrived.

And her personality is honestly the best part. Bonnie Sue LOVES people. If you sit down, she is there almost immediately. Not in a subtle way either. She commits. She climbs into your space, looks up at you, and very clearly expects to be included in whatever you are doing, especially if that involves cuddling.

She's also big on toys, very into treats, and very social with other dogs. She'll happily curl up next to another dog for a nap or try to join in if there's play happening. She really likes being part of the group.

She will need regular flea prevention going forward to keep her skin comfortable, but otherwise she's healthy and ready for her next chapter. Bonnie Sue is active, affectionate, and very people-oriented. She would do great in a home that wants a dog who is involved in everything, whether that's walks, errands, or just hanging out at home. Think she might be your girl? Please inquire today!
