Bonnie's Story

Bonnie is a beautiful young mixed breed girl with the softest eyes and an equally soft personality. We suspect she may be a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, though Australian Shepherd could easily be in there too. Whatever her breed makeup may be, one thing is certain: Bonnie is absolutely stunning.
Bonnie was found as a stray alongside her puppy, Birdie, and spent several weeks in a shelter before entering foster care with Rubies & Rogues.
She is the definition of gentle and sweet. Bonnie can be timid at first and fast movements still make her nervous at times, but she recovers quickly and continues trying her best to trust the people around her. Once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loyal. She loves belly rubs, hugs, praise, and being reminded how pretty she is.
Bonnie walks wonderfully on a leash and has a calm, mellow personality that would thrive in a quieter home environment. She would do best with a patient adopter who understands that confidence takes time and that kindness goes a long way with sensitive dogs.
We are still learning how Bonnie feels about other dogs as she's been in a whelping space with her puppy. We suspect she will be wonderful.
She is easily startled and is learning confidence.
Breed is guessed solely based on looks and features.

Apply to adopt:
https://rubiesandrogues.com/pages/placement-application

Adoption fee $300 (includes vetting through our program) see here for specifics: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16xaqyrjYF/
