Bogey's Story

Meet Bogey!

Bogey is five months old, eight pounds, and about as happy, lovable, and playful as they come. He has the sweetest little personality and is always excited to be included, whether that means playing with another dog, following his people around, or settling in for some cuddle time.

He does very well with other dogs and is great at taking cues from them. He redirects easily when playtime gets a little too exciting, and he’s a smart little guy who picks up on routines and new things quickly.

For such a young puppy, Bogey already has some pretty impressive skills. He sleeps through the night in his crate and can comfortably stay crated for a few hours during the day when his foster is out. He is still working on his potty training, as expected for his age, but he is making steady progress.

Bogey has also proven to be a great little adventure buddy. He has done well on car rides, happily joined his foster for brunch, and is perfectly content hanging out in a carrier bag while taking in the world around him. He is curious and social without needing to be in the middle of everything, and he does a great job settling when it is time to relax.

He has a playful puppy side, but he also knows how to chill out and just be part of the day. Bogey is affectionate, adaptable, curious, and genuinely happy to be here.

He would do well with someone excited to continue his training, give him plenty of love and playtime, and bring him along for all of life’s little adventures. If you’re looking for a tiny best friend with a big personality and so much love to give, Bogey might be your guy.

Check out more of Bogey on instagram: opiethedopie_

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Bogey, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
