Bodie's Story
***PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO & ADOPTION CRITERIA BEFORE CONTACTING ODR Inc. or APPLYING FOR ADOPTION, THANKS!***

MEET Bodie -

Bodie is a 2.5 year old, 11 lb. short hair, piebald dachshund. Heās young, healthy, neutered and fully vetted. Heās house trained and gets along with other small dogs, but should not be in a home with young kids or cats. Bodie tends to alert bark, so some training may be helpful. This young lad loves to be outdoors and give lots of cuddles. If you want give Bodie a loving forever home please fill out an application today!

Adoption Application:
https://form.jotform.com/62555766852165

Like all Dachshunds, Bodie enjoys playing and warming their little bones in the sunshine, along with regular walks Bodie needs a secure fenced yard to run around and explore safely. While small in stature, doxies are big on personality and don't generally do well in apartments. Therefore we adopt to families who live in single family homes (or Duplexes) with secure fenced yards.

OUR CRITERIA:

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have found that the following criteria best sets up our doxies and their new families for success.

Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We generally do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together. We prefer non-smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.

All our dogs are vetted and vaccinated. If available, theyāll come with a few goodies to get you started (food, toys and a harness). The adoption fee is $495, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet/dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.

Can you give Bodie a happy, carefree forever home? If interested, please complete the adoption application at:

Oregon Dachshund Rescue https://www.odr-inc.org/adopt and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net

Our adoption coordinator will attempt to contact with you within 48-72 hours. Please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
Thank you for supporting our rescue efforts!
