Bodhi's Story
Bodie is the kind of puppy that makes you stop and say, “Wow… this one is special.”

At just 2.5 months old, this handsome Heeler/Shepherd mix is already showing an incredible level of emotional intelligence and awareness that you simply do not expect from a puppy his age.

From the moment Bodie arrived in foster care, he settled in like he had always belonged there. He quickly learned the routines of the home and has an amazing ability to read other dogs and respond appropriately.

He plays endlessly with his foster brother Buddy, a playful larger dog who quickly became his best friend. With the more serious resident heeler, Bodie looks for guidance and comfort. Around an overstimulated Aussie who struggles with new dogs, Bodie calmly gives her space without needing correction. And with an older injured dog in the home, he is gentle, respectful, and careful with boundaries.

That kind of balance is rare — especially in a young herding breed puppy.

Bodie is playful, affectionate, happy, and full of personality, but he also knows how to settle and relax when the energy around him changes. He truly seems to “get it.”

He has already:
• Picked up household and pack routines effortlessly
• Sleeps through the night in bed without accidents
• Is doing wonderfully with potty training
• Is learning to enjoy car rides
• Shows strong potential for easy, responsive training
• Even tested out “swimming” and handled it like a champ

Bodie is already neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home.

His foster family cannot say enough wonderful things about him, and this is a home experienced with structure, behavior, and herding breeds. They were cautious introducing a new puppy into a home with multiple personalities and needs, but Bodie has exceeded every expectation.

While Bodie would likely do fine as an only dog, he truly thrives with companionship and would love a home with another playful, balanced dog to bond with.

He is the kind of puppy that makes the puppy stage feel easy — smart, intuitive, adaptable, and eager to connect with his people.

Bodie’s forever family is out there somewhere. We just have to help them find him.

🐾 2.5 months old
🐾 Heeler/Shepherd mix
🐾 Approximately 30lbs

Apply to adopt Bodie here:
https://blueysh4h.org/heeler-adoption-application-form/
