BOCA's Story

**Meet Boca on Saturday, April 18th from 10 am to 1 pm at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.**

Boca is now living in a foster home where he is settling in nicely and doing very well with the resident dog. He is a good listener, attentive companion and he's house trained!

Boca is already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Read more about him below.

Hello! I'm Boca - Your Netflix & Chill Doggo!

Looking for a laid-back, gentle companion? Someone to keep you company during Zoom calls or while you garden, and join you on relaxed daily strolls that remind you to slow down and enjoy the little things in life?

Well...you may have just hit the doggo jackpot. I'm Boca, a sweet, handsome, mellow, and confident 9-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 80 pounds - just a big boy with the heart of a baby.

When you meet me, I'll greet you politely and calmly then go about my business. No excited jumping, no barking, and no lunging for attention.

But once we start spending time together, you'll quickly discover my favorite pastime: following you around and keeping you company. Especially if you happen to slip me a treat now and then (shhhh... just our little secret ), which I'll take from your hands gently.

And when the moment is right, I'll happily sit beside you for some head scratches and back rubs. Ah... the simple things in life.

Another one of my favorites? Stuffies!!! - especially the ones with squeakers inside. Toss one my way and you'll see me bound after it like a puppy, scoop it up, and proudly carry it around to show off my prize.

I also love going on short sniffaris to lose some weight and get fit! I have a cute little white stripe on my belly, and there's a running joke at the shelter that it marks the spot where my waistline will be once I reach my target weight. I get a little excited about all the interesting pee-mails along the way and may pull a bit toward them, but I'd welcome you to help me learn how to walk politely by your side.

When I spot another dog, I like to give a hearty "Hello!" to see if they might be interested in a conversation. I can be selective about my doggo friends, so if you already have a pup at home, please bring them for an on-leash meet-and-greet to see if we get along.

If you're looking for a laid-back cuddle buddy, I'm your guy. Nothing would make me happier than offering you my sweet, steady companionship. I promise to be your loyal shadow, best buddy, and biggest fan. Please, won't you come see me?

If you're interested in BOCA, you can submit an application by clicking the "Apply For Adoption box" located below his photos on the right side.

You can also copy and paste the following dog adoption link into your browser:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TVAR/Dog
