Bo: "My Home to Yours," not at the shelter's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
"My Home to Yours"

Here is Bo, whose caregivers found him as a stray at the Smith Mountain Lake Dam in a neighboring county. When he stayed around for a few days in the area, they broke down and took him to their home to keep him safe. Bo has seen their family vet and is nice and healthy now, and has made himself right at home. He fits in well with their other dogs, but they feel he outsizes them and really want to find him a home where he can use those long legs and BIG VOICE more freely! Five years old, 85 pounds, gentle! Send us an application and we will forward it to the family!

We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
