Bo's Story

4/25/26

Foster or Foster to Adopt Home Needed!

Meet Bo, one of our our newest local intakes who needs a place to kick up his feet up during the day and lay his head on at night. Do you have a little extra room on your couch for a sweet new addition?

Bo is an ~2 year old Chihuahua boy, 8# and very sweet once he gets to know you. He has a soft disposition, is gentle and just wants to be loved. He came from a background of too many dogs and not enough time or funds to care for him, but he hasn't let that get him down. He still seeks love, attention and companionship from those around him and he would really like to find a home to love him forever, maybe yours?

Bo is a very good boy and he is working on housebreaking and training. He longs for attention so getting praise as a reward or a treat or two has been working well. He also tolerates a male belly band well while brushing up on housebreaking.

He had his initial vet visit, vaccines, 4dx tests and flea/ tick treatment. He has also been neutered now.

Due to his small size, breed and temperament, foster or foster to adopt requirements are:

-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY for puppies or pets, that need continued vetting. Once they have been vetted, up to a 150 mile radius is acceptable.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-He came from a home with other dogs and cats, so he should be okay in homes with each.
!Being able to bring him back to our vets office in Adams if additional care is needed prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking each to your current vet to be established.
-Homes with children over 12 years old should be ok due to his current size and temperament.
-Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure they are an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

An adoption donation of $450 is being asked if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free!

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

If you think you have room in your heart for a new addition, please fill out our jotform below! All Creatures Big And Small, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All Creatures Big and Small is a foster based rescue, all of our animals are in foster homes. Since we don't have a shelter building, meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved typically in the foster home. Foster homes are in Jefferson, Oswego and Onondaga counties (NY). The first step in our adoption process is filling out an adoption application. Please be sure to read the application and follow instructions. You MUST contact your current/previous vet upon filling out your application to say it's ok to release veterinary information to us. Once the vet reference check has been completed you will review an email or phone call from our dog or cat coordinator for additional information and to do a phone interview. This typically takes place within 24-72 hours. If all goes well, a meet and greet is scheduled. All family members must come to the meet and greet (including dogs) to make sure it is a good match and everyone is on board to adopt a new pet. If it is decided that the pet is a good match, an adoption can be done at that time and the pet can go home with you All adopters must live within 500 miles of Lacona, NY. We will not ship pets and all family members must travel to the adoption to be sure the pets and family are good with the potential new adoption.
