Bo & Luke are brothers that we estimate to be around 2 years old. Their start here at the shelter wasn't a very nice one. We found these two tied up to our fence in the early morning hours during a thunderstorm. No note, no phone call, just a couple of dog bones and a long leash. Two very scared and nervous dogs that didn't know what was going on. It took some time for them to trust us and both are now completely different dogs than when we first met. Bo is for sure the more outgoing and playful brother. He is more excited to go on walks and be around the people and is very engaging. Luke has come leaps and bounds since he arrived and while he is a bit shyer than his brother, but still has a pretty great personality and is a good dog to take for walks on the trail. Since they were together, we know they get along but sometimes sibling groups can tend to have a bit of pack mentality so we're wanting to adopt them into separate homes. If not trained and monitored correctly, pack mentality can be a bit much and cause territorial issues. To give them the best chance at a forever home, we think separate is best. With proper introductions both Bo & Luke should be able to live with other dogs in the home, cats make take a longer time to adjust. Bo & Luke are both about 50#, neutered, microchipped and current on their vaccinations. They are young dogs and have the ability to learn basic obedience and be wonderful house pets.
