Blythe Rottweiler Tacoma, WA

True to her name, Blythe is happy, playful and very friendly. She is fully crate trained and knows basic canine skills, having completed a 6-week professional training course. She is compact size, weighing 70 pounds. We think she is 3-5 years old, is spayed and vaccinated.
Blythe seems to like other dogs and probably would enjoy having another friendly dog to play with. She also likes kiddos, and would do well in a home with older respectful kids.
She was rescued from a Southern California high-kill shelter and is adjusting really well to her new life in the PNW.

Blythe is pretty dang healthy! She does have mild entropy in her eyes that needs to be treated with a daily ointment, the foster mom has trained her to sit still while the ointment is applied and then she gets a treat. She is given Cosequin MS as needed, she plays like a puppy but does get a little stiff in her back leg occasionally.

Foster mom is working with her on some of her puppy behavior like counter surfing and chewing on stuff she shouldn't while unattended. Crating her while gone helps keep her out of trouble. She is potty trained as long she is let out on her three times a day schedule.

AKC Registration:
Blythe is registered with the AKC in their rescue dog program. This allows Blythe to take the CGC test and compete in obedience, rally, trick dog and other fun AKC events.
Blythe is in weekly training with a rally and obedience trials expert. The training facility is in a beautiful mountain setting outside An adopter who could and would continue this training would be excellent.
