Blue arrived at the Philly shelter as a stray in September 2025 and was quickly reunited with his owner. He came in as a stray again on April 8th and was not reclaimed by his owner. <br/><br/>Blue is a big, bouncy, affectionate dog who wears his heart on his sleeve. He loves people, melts into pets, and will happily roll over for belly rubs. He's treat-motivated and takes them gently. <br/><br/>He can be a bull in a china shop, but has also been described as a sweet, gentle giant who calms down with engagement and loves hugs. He's done well meeting other dogs and appears to be housetrained. <br/><br/>Blue does best when he has an outlet for his energy and a patient handler who can redirect his excitement. Hes just being a good boy trying to protect his humans and might get a little overwhelmed with newcomers, Once he knows you, hes a total love bug. <br/><br/> Dog Compatibility:<br/>- Hes great with our dog and respects his boundaries. They lay with each other, eat bones next to one another and can eat treats in the same room with no issues at all. Our dog has grown fond of him. <br/><br/>- He was also fostered with one other dog on a temporary basis and did well with her. <br/><br/>- He is eager to meet other dogs on walks but we havent allowed him to engage if we dont know them. <br/><br/> Other Requirements:<br/>- Someone who is able to allow him slow introductions as he builds his level of comfort around strangers <br/>- Fenced yard not needed he does great just on frequent walks. <br/><br/> Health & Adoption Info:<br/>- Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative <br/>- Adoption fee: $400
