Blue's Story

Blue is just about a year old—but he’s already lived more life than most dogs his age. He came to us from Eastern Shore Animal Shelter after they reached out for help. Prior to that, we were told he was likely bred and then dumped.

Blue LOVES his people—deeply. He wants to be with you, work with you, and make you happy. He is incredibly smart and very responsive. A simple “uh-uh” and he checks himself and comes right back. That kind of softness and willingness to listen is something truly special.

He does, however, have strong herding instincts. This can show up as trying to herd or guard in situations with movement or stimulation—guests coming and going, kids on bikes, neighbors, or even lawn equipment.

Because of this, Blue is not a fit for a high-traffic home or one with small children.

Blue’s ideal home:
🐾 Structured and consistent
🐾 Herding or working breed experience preferred
🐾 Someone who can provide leadership, routine, and purpose
🐾 A home with land, a farm, or an active lifestyle is a big plus

Blue does great with other dogs but is also content on his own.

🐾 Structured and consistent
🐾 Herding or working breed experience preferred
🐾 Someone who can provide leadership, routine, and purpose
