Hi there, I'm Arlo! I am full of fun and always ready for life's next adventure! I'm a handsome, 38-pound, bundle of joy who just celebrated my first birthday in the shelter. I found myself at Wayside when my owner's housing situation no longer allowed me to stay there. I was so loved for the first part of my life and my owner's only wish was that I find a new home that loves me as much as they did. Could that be with you?

I've been at Wayside since August. Shelter life is hard and I started to get pretty stressed out. Luckily, I didn't have to be stressed for long before I got to move into a foster home! I get to live in an actual house with a backyard and four other dogs to play with. Foster mom says I am just a barrel of fun and that I have this infectious enthusiasm and joy that you can't help but fall in love with. I am cat friendly, housebroken, and crate trained! I live with four other dogs in foster and do great! I love to play rough and rowdy with the young dogs and can settle down to relax when the older dogs tell me it's time. After I've gotten all of my playing out of the way, I love to cuddle up with foster mom and take a little snooze. If I could just have a house with a yard, another dog, and a couch, I'd be content to play and cuddle for the rest of my days!

As much as I am energetic and affectionate with the people I love, growing up in a shelter affected my confidence some and I tend to be a bit insecure with people I don't know. Luckily, I warm up almost immediately, but I do still bark at new people sometimes. I'll do best in a patient home with a sense of humor who can help me continue to build my confidence. I will also do best if everyone in the home is at least age 6 or older. Since I can be a bit fearful, I will need to meet all of the members of my new family before heading home with them. I gain a lot of confidence from other dogs, so please bring my new dog friend(s) to visit me at the same time!

It's hard for a smart, energetic and affectionate puppy like me to grow up in a shelter. I'm enjoying my time in a foster home, but all I really want is a permanent home to call my own. Let me bring a little sunshine and silliness to your life- call the shelter and ask to meet me today!
