Blossom's Story

Blossom is an 8 year old, 80lb sweetheart who brings equal parts charm, comedy, and companionship. She's dog friendly, wonderfully easy to live with, and has a delightfully goofy side that keeps everyone smiling.

She loves to fetch... or more accurately, she galumphs. It's a bit uncoordinated, totally joyful, and she's incredibly proud of herself every time she brings the toy back. Watching her play is guaranteed to make your day.

Blossom is house trained with no accidents and took to using a dog door right away like a natural. She's also a big fan of car rides--she's pretty sure they all lead to the dog park, which happens to be one of her favorite places. Getting into the car or up on the bed is its own adorable event, complete with a slow scramble and hardworking back legs.

She's generally low energy and undemanding, happy to lounge and enjoy a relaxed pace of life... unless a squirrel makes an appearance, in which case she suddenly remembers she has places to be. Blossom is also very intelligent and takes everything in stride.

If you're looking for a mellow, funny, and lovable companion with just the right amount of personality, Blossom is ready to galumph her way into your heart.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Big Paws of the Ozarks's Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an application on our website with all necessary information. From there, our staff will conduct a phone interview and answer any questions regarding the dog or the adoption process. Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled with the family, dog, and dog's foster family. This is the time where other pets can be introduced. If the meet and greet goes well, we can send the dog in a trial adoption for a few days to make sure it is a perfect fit for everyone. From there the adoption is finalized through payment of the adoption fee and transferring of vet records.
