Blazer's Story

Blazer
6 YO
85 Pounds
Kid Friendly
Crate & Leash Trained
Fostered in Prineville, OR

Hi, I'm Blazer! I am a loving and loyal gentleman. I am playful and affectionate with kids of all ages and thrive in a busy family environment. It is my nature to be protective of my people, I love fiercely. Once I bond with you, I will give you my whole heart. I am crate-trained, leash-trained, and very well-mannered. I may be 6 but I come with all of the Boxer antics that you know and love, I love to play - zoomies, fetch, squeaky toys, and wrestling with my humans. I also know that I need to recharge my batteries, so I won't turn down a good nap.

Although I am wonderful with people and great with small children, I can be reactive on leash. I am protective and sometimes suspicious of people and dogs who approach me on my leash. I need to be sure that you are only up to good things. I would love to have a strong leader that is experienced or understands leash reactivity, and is committed to careful management, slow introductions, and ongoing training. I am a good boy and just want to be sure that I can be safe and happy. I would likely do best as the only dog in the home. I love being included in everything and would thrive with a family that is home more often or can include me in daily activities. If you're an experienced owner looking for a loyal, protective, playful Boxer who will love your family, guard the home, play hard, and nap hard, I just might be the perfect match for you! Northwest Boxer Rescue's Adoption Policy
We'd like to tell you about our Adoption Process. First, all of us at Northwest Boxer Rescue are volunteers and no one is paid. We do the best that we can to respond as timely as possible, but we also have dogs, children, spouses, jobs, families, and homes - just like you. So, please be patient with us. Completing an application is the first step in adopting a boxer from NWBR. We try to respond to the request as soon as possible and contact you by phone once we have received the application. Tell us what dog you are interested in on the application. We are glad to answer any questions you have. We want to get to know you and make sure the dog you adopt is the right wiggle butt, not just a dog. It is not only important that you will be happy with your new family member but that your new family member has found their perfect forever home. Many of our dogs come from rough backgrounds and deserve great homes. We spend a lot of time with these guys and try very hard to get to know them as we
