Blaze's Story

Meet Blaze!
This handsome man is a 4-1/2 year old, neutered male, Boxer. Blaze was surrendered alongside his fur-sibling, Mia, who has her own listing. They were brought to us through no fault of their own when unfortunate circumstances led to their owner not being able to care for them anymore. The pair do not have to be adopted together.
Blaze can be nervous in new situations, and he is going to need a family that can give him patience as he adjusts. He's not shown us any aggression here but it will take work to get him fully comfortable in a new home. His previous owner said that Blaze typically does better with women, and with unfamiliar men he likes to act as a guard dog.
When you come in we ask that you don't judge Blaze through the kennel, as he likes to show off his loud bark. Once you take him outside it will seem like you're meeting a whole new dog! In our yard Blaze is a playful and happy pup, and he will zoom around in glee.
Blaze has lived with kids before and did well with them, but please keep in mind that with him being nervous in new situations he should be supervised around any children until he can get used to then. With his boisterous energy Blaze could easily knock children down by accident, so we will not be adopting him out to hoes with small children to be safe. Blaze is not good with cats, and cannot go to a home with any felines either. Blaze gets along with other dogs, but he is very pushy and doesn't do a good job of respecting their boundaries. He will not be a good fit for any dogs that can't handle his behavior well. Due to this, we will be requiring he meet and dogs in the home prior to adoption to make sure they're a good match.
Blaze has been started on his vaccinations and will soon be ready for a forever home! Don't wait - come out and meet Blaze today!
