Blackie is a very large dog at 110 pounds. He really is a gentle giant. He is very tolerant of the chaos in the house. Blackie loves romping around in the deep snow drifts. Given the opportunity he chooses to be outside. When inside he loves sitting next to you on the couch. He has already mastered the use of the doggie door. He is house broken. He is hesitant to enter the kennel, but once inside he is calm. He is accepting of being on a leash and will walk with you but doesnt really heel. Does not like small, fast-moving dogs or puppies if there is more than one. He is mostly forgiving of strange dogs approaching him, but off leash dogs rushing at him will cause him some anxiety. He is a Malamute so he will need frequent brushing and exercise.
