Biscuit's Story

Biscuit is a sweet little terrier mix who came to us as a semi-feral dog from Cherokee. He has opened up so much during his time with us and continues to grow more confident every day.He can still be a little shy when meeting new people, but he absolutely loves other dogs and gains a lot of comfort from them. Because of this, he would do best in a home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog to help show him the ropes. He loves to play outside, and walks pretty well on leash. He will need to be fed separately, as he does try to guard his food, but with proper management this is a behavior that's very easy to navigate.Biscuit is still working on potty training but is making progress and will likely continue to improve quickly with consistency and positive reinforcement.Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
