Biscuit's Story

Meet Biscuit, a 1-year-old, fully vetted Beagle who is looking for a best friend! His foster calls him "Buddy," and when those ears perk up at the nickname, it's easy to see how well it suits him.

Biscuit is a sweet, affectionate boy who wants to be included in your day. He enjoys walks, companionship, and having something to keep him entertained. He isn't constantly looking to play-sometimes being near his favorite person is all he wants. He's still a young dog learning the ropes, but he has the makings of a wonderful little sidekick.

He has done well with dogs he's met on walks and at the dog park, and he has been friendly toward cats in his foster's backyard. His foster thinks he could make a wonderful companion for a child, though introductions will help determine the right fit for everyone.

Biscuit is working on leash manners and basic commands, with hand signals helping him understand what's being asked. He can slip out of a harness, so a secure fit and careful supervision are important.

This boy needs a family who understands that being alone is hard for him. He howls when left alone and is frightened of crates-he has even broken out of one. His ideal home would have people around much of the time, a safe alternative to crating, and patience to help him gradually feel more comfortable spending time on his own.

If you're looking for a handsome, lovable companion who wants to be part of your everyday life, Biscuit is ready to become your "Buddy."
