Birdie (fka Bruna)'s Story

Meet Birdie! ❤️ This beautiful 2-year-old, 60-pound Great Dane/Husky mix is looking for her forever home through Arctic Rescue!

Birdie spent three months in a California shelter before finally getting her freedom ride to Utah. Now she's settling into foster care, showing off her sweet personality, and getting a second chance at the life she deserves.

Birdie is a playful, affectionate girl who loves giving play bows, getting the zoomies, and cuddling with her favorite people and pups. She's a big sweetheart who wants nothing more than to love and be loved!

Birdie absolutely LOVES other dogs! Even a dog across the street looks like a potential new best friend. Having a friendly canine companion helps her feel more confident, and she loves snuggling up beside her doggy friends once playtime is over. With people, she's a total Velcro dog who wants to be wherever you are.

She enjoys playing with soft toys, chasing balls, being brushed, and splashing around in water. She's also shown friendly curiosity toward children ages 6–12 through her foster's fence, although she hasn't lived with kids yet.

Birdie can be a little timid in unfamiliar situations, so she'll benefit from a patient family who can help her continue building confidence. She's generally a quiet girl, although she can be vocal in her crate. She's also still learning which things are appropriate to chew, so she'll need some supervision and guidance.

Interested in adopting Birdie? Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
