Birdie - Courtesy Listing see info's Story

Birdie is a courtesy listing, please contact Kelsey at (574) 315-3636. She is in the Missoula area.

Meet Birdie! This beautiful 2-year-old, 60 lb Great Dane/Greyhound checked yes to “Northern breed” on her rescue application, and honestly, we respect the confidence.

Birdie spent 84 days—nearly three months—in a California shelter before getting her freedom ride with Arctic Rescue. Her Husky credentials may be questionable, but we knew this sweet girl deserved a chance.

At about 2 years old and 60 lbs, Birdie is a playful, affectionate girl who loves giving play bows, getting the zoomies, and cuddling with her favorite people and pups.

Birdie LOVES other dogs—even a dog across the street looks like a potential best friend! A friendly canine companion helps her feel confident, and she loves snuggling beside them once playtime is over. With people, she’s a Velcro girl who wants to be wherever you are.

She enjoys soft toys, playing ball, being brushed, and splashing in water. Birdie is generally quiet except in her crate and needs supervision around tempting chewables like shoes and leashes. She isn’t especially food-motivated and can be timid in new situations, so a patient family will help her settle in and learn.

No fluffy coat. No sled-dog ancestry. Just very long legs and a very convincing application. Now Birdie’s applying for her most important role yet: your best friend.

Apply at arcticrescue.org/adopt or contact Kelsey at (574) 315-3636.
