Birdie's Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Birdie is a delightful girl who really knows how to enjoy all the life has to offer. She loves everyone she meets and she makes friends wherever she goes. Birdie loves being active and is dreaming of a family that will include her in their outdoor adventures. She loves to go for walks and car rides and would be a great companion on light hikes and trail walks. Birdie enjoys being outside in the sunshine and would love a home with a securely fenced backyard.

Birdie has lived with other dogs and is very respectful when meeting new doggie friends. She would be fine in a home with another respectful canine companion. Beverly hasn't lived with cats. Because of her size and strength we are asking for a feline free home. For the same reason we are asking for a home without children under 10 years of age.

Birdie recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. While she was under anesthesia for her spay surgery her teeth were hand scales. Birdie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is 11 years old and weighs 73 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
