Birdie's Story

Meet Birdie.

This adorable 35-pound brindle girl found herself as a stray in the county shelter, and the moment we saw her one-of-a-kind smile, we knew we had to help her.

Birdie is technically a hospice case. Her bloodwork is wonky, she has multiple mammary tumors, and she can't undergo anesthesia — so surgery isn't an option for her. We don't know exactly how much time she has, but we believe she has enough good days ahead of her to enjoy a real home, a soft bed, and someone to love her for however long that turns out to be. Please do not let this deter you, these seniors deserve a home too!

She is settling into foster care beautifully. She lives with another dog and, with slow and proper introductions, does great with canine friends. She's mostly a professional couch potato who enjoys the occasional lap around the yard before heading right back to her favorite napping spot.

Birdie is looking for a home without cats or young children, where she can relax, be loved, and enjoy the good life she's always deserved — for as long as she has it.

What kind of dog is she?! Well, that's a great question, and your guess is truly as good as ours. She's petite, lanky, and super cute — a total mystery mix with the biggest personality.

If you're looking to open your heart and home to a sweet, easygoing girl with the cutest smile around, Birdie might just be your girl. She may not have much time left, but she has so much love still to give — and so does whoever is lucky enough to give her a soft place to land.

Birdie is approximately 9 years old.

Fill out an application today to meet this perfect little brindle babe!
https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
