Billie's Story

Meet Billie a loving 2-year-old boy looking for a family to call his own

Billie is 2 years old and about 40 lbs—a wonderful medium size. He is an affectionate, loving boy who forms a close bond with his people and truly enjoys being by his owners side. Whether its relaxing together at home or heading out for a walk, Billie is happiest when he is spending time with the people he loves.

Billie has a great medium energy level. He loves going for walks and walks beautifully on a leash, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys getting outside and exploring the neighborhood. After his walk, he is just as happy to settle down and enjoy some quiet time next to his person.

One of Billies sweetest qualities is how affectionate he is. He loves being close to his owner and will happily stay by your side, soaking up attention and companionship. He isnt looking for anything complicated—he simply wants someone to love and a place where he can feel safe and secure.

Billie currently has a family who loves him, but sadly, his owner is facing serious health issues and can no longer provide the care that Billie and his companion, Abby, need. His owner has reached out to us for help finding them safe, loving homes.

This is an incredibly difficult situation for everyone involved, and our biggest priority is making sure Billie and Abby never have to enter a shelter. They deserve to transition from the home and family they know directly into loving homes where they will continue to feel safe, cared for, and cherished.

Billie isnt losing his home because of anything he did. Sometimes circumstances change in ways no one could have anticipated, and his family is doing the most loving thing they can by asking for help before the situation becomes an emergency.

At only 2 years old, Billie has his whole life ahead of him. He has so many years of walks, adventures, cuddles, companionship, and happy memories still waiting for him. What he needs now is someone willing to give him the chance to continue being the happy, loved dog he has always known himself to be.

We would love to find Billie a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home so he never has to experience the stress and uncertainty of entering a shelter.

Most of all, Billie needs someone who will appreciate his affectionate nature and give him what he loves most—a safe home, companionship, and a person whose side he can stay by.

Billie has an opportunity to travel to New York, but he can only make the journey if he has a confirmed adopter or foster-to-adopt home waiting to welcome him.

Health & Care:
-Neutered
-Microchipped
-Fully vaccinated
-Dewormed
-4DX tested
-On flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Simparica Trio

If you think Billie could be the missing piece in your family, please fill out an application at sosanimalwelfare.org or email sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com.

Please consider opening your heart and home to Billie. Help us make sure this sweet boy can go from one loving home to another without ever having to know the fear and uncertainty of a shelter.
