Meet Billie
Billie has found her forever home with Melissa in Somerville!
Adoption Coordinator: Carol
Adoption Fee: $425
Billie is a 10 month old Border Collie mix weighing 40 lbs. She was found as a stray in TN and has lots of energy like any typical BC. Her favorite activities are running and playing, but once she burns some energy will focus on you and is very affectionate, leaning her head into your hand to be pet. Billie can be shy upon first meeting, but warms up quickly. True to her breed, she is very smart and already knows some basic commands. She will excel with continued training and plenty of exercise. She is doing well with crate training and working on house training. Billie does pull on leash. She'll do best in an active home with a big fenced in yard or maybe a running or hiking companion. This is not a dog to be left alone all day.
PLEASE NOTE: Billie is currently being fostered in TN and is not here to meet. If interested, please read more about our rescue and process on our website www.foreverhomerescue.org and then complete an online application.
Please complete an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescue's name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom. STOP! If you have not been notified of your approval status do not make a deposit.
