Meet Bilbo in KY - Loves Kitty Nose Kisses!

Handsome, gentle Bilbo is a blank canvas waiting for a family to give him a future full of love, patience, and the life he so deserves. This young boy was surrendered to a local shelter with his brother. These boys were not use to human contact, but after several days, praise, patience, and love, they now look forward to and accept a kind word and pet—Bilbo loves the attention! He has even mastered the Pyr paw to let you know when you forgot that he is there! Bilbo would absolutely LOVE it if his forever home had a cat or two—he loves to rub noses with the resident cats, who he was scared of when he first met them. He sat back and waited for the kitties to approach him. Toys are fun too—his favorite game is for his person to throw a toy and then play keep away with his doggy friends! Bilbo is very gentle on a leash, working on housebreaking and since he is still young, has learned to go in a crate when in a home. He has not yet learned the difference between “his things” and his “human’s things.” This young boy will jump into the vehicle for a ride and enjoys grooming! Bilbo dreams of a family with a large fenced yard, a cat and dog or two to play with, and a giant toy box!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
