Biggie's Story

Our boy Biggie is back on the market! He was adopted a few months ago but unfortunately, it has proved not to be a good fit as he is not a fan of the other dog in the house and becomes very distressed by the chaos that comes with a small child (i.e. crying, yelling, etc.). He is an amazing, silly, boy and his adopter is sad to give him up but sometimes the right match isn't right. Now is your chance to scoop up this very good boy before someone else does!

Name: Biggie
Nickname: Biggie Boy
Doppelgänger: Chris Farley
Breed: Bulldog
Age: 3 years
Weight: 56 lbs.
Before OMD: Surrendered to the rescue when his owners could no longer care for him.
Energy Level: Perfect combo of high and low. Plays with his foster Boxer buddy, but is also a perfect snuggle partner on the couch
Descriptors: Happy go lucky. Playful. Friendly. Super cuddly! Gives ridiculous face.
What we love most: The way his legs sprawl like a frog when lying down. His perfect trot on leash. His snuggling ability. The way he sits in the same spot after every meal, waiting to go outside. His gallant effort to reach his paws with his mouth, constantly failing resulting in head bobs. His teefers.
What he loves most: His people. Food. Toys. Licking his humans feet. Chasing the cat.
What he doesn't love: Having his skin folds and ears cleaned
What he knows: Sit. Stay. Shake. How to look cute at all times.
What he is working on: Not bolting out an open door. Not nibbling at feet. Not chasing the cat. Not scooping up anything a human drops, thinking it is food.
Kids: We believe he will be fine with kids over 10 as he is very strong and has become distressed by the the antics of small children.
Dogs: This is complicated. He has been amazing with previous foster dog siblings but does not like the large male dog in his adoptive home or a small dog on a walk. We consider him to be dog selective so we would prefer to place him as an only dog to be safe.
Cats: The jury is still out. He chases the cat, but has never harmed.
House trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes, and strongly advised or he will chew and you will most likely lose your remote among other household tchotchkes.
Moonlights as: Night club bouncer
Life motto: “If no treats I’ll get your feets”
Need to know: Our boy has a history of allergies, and will need constant upkeep of his skin folds and ears. Bulldog expertise is a plus.

Biggie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org

One More Dog Rescue (Formerly Ruff Start Happy Tails)'s Adoption Policy
One More Dog Rescue (OMD), formerly Ruff Start Happy Tails, requires all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application and agree to a home visit prior to any adoption. Once the application is approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled between the potential adopter (s) and the dog. If the dog is adopted through One More Dog, an adoption contract must be signed, and we ask that a donation in the amount of $500.00 for puppies and adult dogs and $350.00 for senior dogs be made at the time of adoption to help our rescue cover a portion of the costs we incur through pull fees, vetting, and training.
