Big Red

🐾 Big Red is is believed to be a Golden Retriever/Cattle Dog/Chow mix, about 5 years old, and is an all-around great dog just needing an opportunity away from the stress of the shelter to prove how wonderful he truly is. Red is going make a great family dog... he loves meeting people, gets along with other dogs, enjoys going on adventures, does well on the leash, plays fetch, loves playing in the water, and is also an affectionate snuggler known to sometimes kiss on the first date. As far as cats are concerned, he shows a spike of initial interest and then it depends upon how the cat reacts from that point. We think he'd generally learn to peacefully cohabitate, but his size could pose some risk even if no intent to harm. (He's also interested in chasing rabbits but then gets distracted and moves on... and likewise with birds.) One thing for sure is that he's ready to be your new best friend and would love the chance to meet you!
