Bianca

Meet Bianca!

Bianca is looking for a foster or forever home. She is at least 6 years old and around 40 lbs- but needs to gain a bit more weight.

Bianca was found mid-July walking down a busy road with a collar attached to a tie-out. She must have been tied out in someone's backyard, and she got loose. She was underweight and in heat when she was brought to our office. We did find a microchip, but sadly her family never reached out to us to reclaim her.

Lucky for Bianca, she got loose when she did because it turned out that her heat was actually the beginning of a deadly infection called a pyometra, and we were able to start her on antibiotics and spay her right away to keep her from becoming dangerously ill!

Bianca is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had. She is calm and patient. She does like to play with toys, and she will bark for attention, but is very calm in her kennel and enjoys just being near her person. If you work from home, be prepared; she will nose your elbow when she wants you to pet her!

Bianca is currently staying with our friends at boarding as we do not have an open foster home for her, and since she is recovering, she has not been thoroughly dog or cat tested. She has interacted with two of our foster puppies, and she was very happy and playful with them. She has also seen cats at our office and has not been reactive; however, she will need supervision and further testing in a home before we can say for sure that she is good with both. She is very friendly to everyone she has met and is a favorite of the boarding facility workers.

If you are interested in fostering or discussing foster-to-adopt please send an inquiry or email us at columbusdogconnectioninfo@gmail.com
