BGR Sorcerer Greyhound Bondurant, IA

BGR Sorcerer (AKA Merlin) is a sweet 4 and a half year old red fawn male. He initially tested cat safe, but needs additional evaluation with cats and small dogs. He does very well with the other greyhound in his home.

Merlin has learned to do full flights of stairs inside and outside without assistance. He also does well on all types of flooring. He is very housetrained and does well in a kennel during the day. He is very easy to work with and has done well with our 12 year old daughter, but has not been around small children.

He is currently recovering from a wound in which he lost the tip of his left ear. We are still learning more about his personality and more information will be available in the coming weeks.


This dog is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. We do not ship dogs. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered.

The adoption fee for HGA is $300.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee that is applied to an approved adoption.
