Betsy's Story

Betsy is a very sweet and loyal pup that is looking for her special home that she can thrive within. She will frequently remind you of how much love a dog can give to their human because she will use her nose to nudge your hand and ask for pets frequently. Betsy is someone to look forward to seeing when you get home and will always be appreciative when it comes to getting attention.

We are very proud of Betsy and the strides she had made with her behavior- especially with food and feeding time. We previously posted that Betsy had some food aggression but this is less so the case now. Now she is actually funny when she eats because she will basically sit in front of her food, look around at everyone in one pass and then let out one big "WOOF" at everyone to let her know she is about to eat and to not bother her! She is still a little defensive of her food proximity with other dogs and does not like to be bothered when eating but she has made significant progress in being patient with all the other dogs. Betsy currently lives with 7 other dogs and despite all the chaos feeding time can sometimes bring, she is very calm and controlled about the entire process now. She knows she is always going to get fed and get as much as she wants(most of the time). Betsy will let humans reach into her bowl and move it around if needed without issue- and is almost appreciative if you move it closer to her or give her some pets while she is eating. She only has some issues with other dogs getting too close.

Betsy has also made huge strides in her personality. She will now "AWWWOOOOO" at you if she wants your attention badly enough. She doesn't do it all the time but when she does, she is very vocal and will sing to you. We have many videos of Betsy playing with other dogs and being social.

Betsy is a taller and larger sized Husky- and has a matching personality where she thinks she is the boss. Her stride when trotting along makes you think she is in some kind of AKC competition. Betsy loves walks and is very social with other dogs(except when eating). Betsy is a perfect match for anyone that just wants a Husky that is we behaved and very disciplined. Bonus if you want to take her on walks and get some heads turning because of show big and beautiful she is.

Luna Siberian Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process... The adoption process: An adoption application needs to be filled out so we know a little more about you and your home. This helps us match the right dog up with the right family. If it looks like a good match we will set up a time where the family can meet the dog and spend time together. It is required that all members of the household and their current dogs (if any) be present during the meet and greet. If things go well and the family decides to adopt, Luna Siberian Rescue will deliver the dog to its new family on a day/time agreed upon by both parties. Adoption fees are 300.00- 400.00 and that includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies. up to date vaccinations and deworming. Adoption prices for puppies does not include spay/neuter if they are under 6 months of age. An adoption contract must be signed by both parties upon adoption. Come Meet Our Pets.
