Betsy's Story

Meet Betsy the Basset Hound – Your New Best Friend

Betsy’s journey began with uncertainty. She and a small group of her pals were found roaming the streets, clearly lost and unsure of where to go next. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in, scooping them up and taking them straight to a local veterinarian in hopes that someone was missing them dearly.

Sadly, there was no ID and no microchip—no clues to where Betsy came from or how she ended up on her own.

But what could have been the end of her story turned into a brand-new beginning.

The family who found Betsy opened their hearts and home to her, keeping her safe while making sure she received the care she needed. Betsy is about 5 years, fully vetted, vaccinated, and spayed—and through it all, she showed everyone exactly who she is: a low-key, easygoing sweetheart who simply enjoys the quiet comforts of life. LSWR is assisting the family that is caring for her, in hopes of finding her a great home.

Betsy is the definition of laid-back. She loves basking in the sunshine, soaking up warm rays during a peaceful sunbath, and she’s perfectly content just being near her people. She’s potty trained, adores humans, and has done wonderfully around other large-breed dogs. No drama, no chaos—just a gentle soul with a big, loving heart.

This lovable Basset Hound is a true lovebug. She doesn’t ask for much-just companionship, kindness, and a cozy spot close to her humans. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for her, giving her a safe place to wander, sniff, and enjoy the outdoors at her own leisurely pace.

Betsy has already proven she’s ready for her forever home. Now all she needs is someone to choose her. Could that be you?

LSWR is helping the family caring for her search for the happily‑ever‑after she deserves.
