Bessie American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Palatine, IL

Whether you’ve been out for days or just hours, this sweet girl will greet you with tail wagging, spinning in circles, barely able to contain her excitement. Belly rubs always welcome. She is a bundle of energy, loves walking and playing fetch. No problem with her crate; eager to go for car rides.Walks well on-leash, no pulling, cautious with other dogs and strangers unless she perceives a threat. No problem with fireworks, thunder or loud noise. She’s about 50 lbs and very energetic so may not be best with small children. Fenced-in yard would be ideal so she can burn off that energy. She knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, come) especially with a treat. Bessie is a loyal, affectionate, sweet girl, so happy to have a family but because of our health issues, we are not able to care for her.  She has been an absolute joy to have as a foster and deserves the happiest forever home possible.

Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs. Our fosters are available to answer your questions and will give you all the details you need to know about our dogs such as if they are shy, are they outgoing, what is their energy level, are they couch potatoes, love bugs, kissers, lickers, so please do apply and ask our fosters questions - this will ensure you find your pur-fect match in our rescue!
