I just turned 3 years old on July 27th and weigh 15 pounds. I need a new home because I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am being fostered in Omaha, NE.<br/><br/>I am skittish but progressively learning to trust. Once I face my fears, I'm excited about overcoming them. I am curious, energetic and playful, but also still nervous about things until I'm introduced to them a few times. I get along with other dogs, but I would probably do just fine as an only pet too.<br/><br/>I am still working on the basics of home life. I will go up and down steps and do my job outside at my foster house. I really like having a comfortable safe zone to retreat to, and around here it's the living room couch.<br/><br/>I love ear rubs, couch time and stuffed toys.<br/><br/>I have a big personality in a little package, just waiting for the right family to show it to.<br/><br/>I get along with people and other dogs.<br/><br/>I would rather not be groomed but will eventually let you clip my nails and bathe me.<br/><br/>I need better dental care than what I had before entering rescue.<br/><br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Working on it and doing well<br/>Leash-trained? Working on it<br/>Rides well in car? Yes, very<br/>Good with other dogs? Yes (companionable)<br/>Good with cats? Not yet tested<br/>Good with young children? Not yet tested<br/>Good with strangers? Yes<br/>Shy or confident? Shy so far<br/>Barks? No<br/>Apartment qualified? No<br/>Any Special needs or Health Issues? Possibly allergies, but unsure<br/>Additional Comments: Ideally, I need my dental health maintained with chew bones and maybe brushing. I am trying to transition off my history of wet food onto kibble, but its been very gradual. In case I do have some kind of food allergy, my foster mom is avoiding poultry and beef foods, for right now at least.<br/>Adoption Fee? $ 450<br/><br/>The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.<br/><br/>All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
