Bernie's Story

Why spend a weekend with Bernie when you could spend a lifetime?

At 7 years old, Bernie is the kind of dog you can trust around the house. He's calm, housebroken, walks beautifully on leash, and loves getting out for strolls. After which he's more than happy to settle in and relax by your side. He isn't destructive when left alone and carries himself like a seasoned gentleman who already knows the rules.

Bernie does, however, suffer from "FOMO", Fear of Missing Out. Despite being partially blind, Bernie doesn't want to be left in the background! If there's fun, he wants to be involved. If there's drama, he wants to be involved. He'd gladly join the neighborhood watch, attend cookouts, own a police scanner, and commit to a Days of Our Lives marathon.

As for being partially blind? Bernie struggles with dry eyes that will need continued care, including lubricants and cleansing. But don't stress! GIHS medical staff will walk you through the ins and outs of Bernie's eye care and overall health.
