She is a gentle and sweet girl who gives the very best hugs and will never fail to brighten your day with her happy personality and big smile. If youre looking for a best friend and fluffy shadow, she is the one! <br/><br/>Bernie is great with other dogs and kids, too - she has not yet been cat tested. To date, she is not a big fan of leashed walks but we are working diligently with her on this. For now, we are suggesting a home with a fenced yard for her so that she will not need to rely solely on leashed outside time. <br/><br/>Bernice is currently heartworm positive, which means we are looking for an adopter or foster near our vet in Chester, NJ. She has already begun the first phase of treatment and will finish up there.
