Bentley - Male B puppy's Story

Meet Bentley!

Check out that handsome mug!

We rescued the litter of 6 pups, 3 boys and 3 girls from a life of living on the streets. With no where to go, they would have surely ended up worse for the wear.

Bentley is 6 months old as of 5/27/26. He is crate trained and nearly perfect in the housebreaking category. He doesn't understand why some of his foster brothers don't like going outside in the rain. The rain makes everything smell different! His foster family knows to direct him outside to potty after high impact wrestle time with his foster brothers' tag team. Bentley is always the winner of those bouts, paws down, and redirects back to bones or cuddles seamlessly afterwards.

Bentley LOVES his food. He has made huge strides in restraint when he sees his slow feeder. He wants that noted in his bio. He knows sit and is doing great on the leash with his training collar. Bentley has started wearing his "Adopt Me" vest on field trips and loves the attention it brings. His foster brother has helped him understand what is expected of him when out in public. He sits on a dime and loves getting pets!

Every day Bentley is learning something new. He looks to his people for cues and correction. Thunder, marching bands, strange dogs, weird bikes, sand - all checked off the list so far. A firm, positive, correction eases him from worried bark to curious observer. Bentley does have an instinctive, protective growl that he is learning has its time and place. Strangers on the porch? Ok to use. Dogs minding their own business nearby? Put the growl away. Each time he looks to his humans for guidance and responds to their commands. Quiet introductions to future fur siblings would be a great way for Bentley to start off on the right paw.

Bentley will thrive in a family that sets boundaries, so that he can focus on learning his role within the pack. He is currently in a foster pack of 5 odd balls and is doing just fine. He is highly trainable and would love to continue training in the future!

Despite his puppy energy, and long legs, Bentley takes cuddling very seriously. He dives into any available space near his humans. He is proud of himself for earning the privilege of sleeping with the pack and humans at night time; and, would surely earn the same trust with his forever family in no time.

Adoption fee: $195

All puppies are dewormed, started on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

All puppies will be adopted with current, age-appropriate vaccines, given by Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue.

We have a strict one-hour puppy adoption radius, puppy adopters must be within one hour of Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue. Please see our Adoption Radius tab on our website for more info, here: https://peppermintpiganimalrescue.org/adoption-radius/

Along with other criteria evaluated in the adoption application, a Fenced Yard is required to adopt.
