Bentley's Story

Bentley is not a beginner dog. He is a big, powerful, high-drive dog who needs structure, training, exercise, and an owner who understands how to handle large dogs without getting bulldozed by them. The right home will absolutely love him. The wrong home will get overwhelmed fast.

**Meet Bentley**
📍Located in Southeast Kentucky
🎂 Born April 16, 2022
⚖️ Approximately 85 lbs
🏡 House Trained

Bentley is a large mixed-breed dog with a huge personality, a lot of energy, and absolutely no concept of personal space. He is affectionate, social, and deeply people-oriented — but he is also strong, excitable, grabby, and currently walks horribly on leash. He did not do well long-term with e-collar-based training methods, and he will need someone willing to continue building engagement, impulse control, and leash manners through fair, structured handling.

He is house trained and thrives when he has interaction, direction, and clear expectations. Without enough exercise or engagement, his excitement level ramps up quickly. He is strong enough to overpower an unprepared owner, so honesty matters here.

Bentley has only ever lived with his current family. Because of that, transition stress is expected. He will need decompression time in his new home while he adjusts to new leadership, routines, and surroundings.

🚨 Important:
Bentley must be transported in a crate. Quick handoff situations are stressful for him, and slow decompression will help him settle successfully.

At his core, Bentley is a sweet dog who genuinely wants connection and engagement. He simply needs the right environment, the right expectations, and an owner willing to put in the work instead of looking for a ready-made dog.

Serious inquiries only.
