He is a friendly little guy who likes men, women, strangers, children, other dogs, and other animals. Well mannered and happy to see people, Bentley knows "stay," is house trained and leash trained, and can be left alone uncrated. He rides nicely in the car and would love a home with a securely fenced yard.</p><br/><br/><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:align-top">This food-motivated boy is a great eater and especially loves soft treats and Dentastix. He enjoys a little soft food mixed into his kibble and has no food aggression. He can be a clever counter- and table-surfer when tasty food is left within reach, so his new family should keep snacks safely stored.</p><br/><br/><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:align-top">Bentley is still building confidence. He can be startled by loud noises or sudden sounds and may look for a quiet, safe spotoften his foster's bed. He is okay with thunder but may pull on leash if frightened by motorcycles or loud vehicles. He is not crate trained and is not especially fond of grooming, so gentle, patient handling will help him continue to blossom.</p><br/><br/><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:align-top">He sleeps on the bed, sofa, or a chair and enjoys being near his people. Bentley may bark when someone comes to the door or when other dogs bark, but he is not an excessive barker. He would likely thrive with a confident canine companion to follow and learn from, though another dog is not required.</p><br/><br/><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:align-top">Bentley is ready to leave his past behind and become a cherished member of a loving family.
