Bentley's Story

This is sweet Bentley. He has the most beautiful brindle coat. At around 1 year old and 25 lbs., he loves his people and loves snuggling with them. He follows his person from room-to-room, and barks if they are out of view. He was a bit nervous when he came into our rescue, but once he settled in, he was ready for love. He gets along well with other dogs, tries to play with the cats in his foster home, but gets scared if they try to assert themselves. We have not observed him around younger kids. He walks great on a leash, but be careful of stray cats and squirrels, as he will try to chase and pull to get to them. He is house trained as long as he isn't left inside too long. He loves car rides; but he does not like to be crated. He sleeps through the night in the human bed. At Bentley's young age, we would love for him to be able to run around in a secure fenced-in yard in his forever home. This active boy needs an active home. He doesn't bark often, but if he gets excited he will bark with joy, or he will bark if he is left alone. Bentley
is heart worm positive but has started the protocol for slow kill, and will test negative in no time. He can carry on with normal activities like any other dog.
He also, sadly, is very terrified at the vet. He will a perfect dog for a lucky someone. Could that lucky someone be you?
If so, and you live in the central Florida (Orlando) area, think you have the perfect forever home for Bentley, we’d love to find out more about you. Please complete our adoption application and we’ll see if you’re Bentley's perfect match.
